black bodybuilders & musclemen
What’s up guys! First let me just say that I’m glad that buddy of mine told me about this site! The images of these muscle brothers (weather from the net or shots from the members themselves) are hot as hell and very motivating. Here’s my question to everyone…I stand at 6’6” and weigh at 257lb. this is the most that I have ever weighed and my doctor said that I’m obese and want me to lose 40lb! Everyone that look at me says that’s crazy and that’s I’m fine the way I am. In spite of the positive responses, I do want to lose some pound. I’ve never had the washboard abs with a nice chest to go along with it. Dropping down to 215lb will be a task for me since I haven’t been that size since I was in the Navy back in the 90’s! I’m taking this thermogenic call OxyElite Pro. What else I can do to reach my goal of have a body like the ones posted here. I have a bowflex machine that I’m using at home too.

I empathize with your situation my mom is all ways on to me about being fat. Just recently we decided to go on a strict diet. Now I did not over indulge over the Christmas/silly season.
1 It is how comfortable you feel with your own weight.
2 these guys you see on here have spent many many years developing their muscular bodies. Some do it at a professional level.
I admire the fact that you are trying to get in to shape, but the average person like me does not need togo to extremes and train like a footballer/professional athlete.
I do some exercises in the morning and I walk a fair bit (probably not as much as I should)
Drink plenty of water as when you exercise a lot you need to re hydrate. I also suffer from kidney stones.
I also eat a relatively healthy diet. The five fruit and five to seven vegies. Lean meat oh and I also believe eating a lot of fish helps to. Another thing I should do more of. Apart from that I think you are on the right track, you look pretty good to me. Any ways all the best in your endeavors.
The most important thing to remember as well is be your self, and don't try to hard to look like some one else each person has a different body and whilst we might emulate those we admire our bodies are different.
Sincerely
zarathustra

I am trying to lose weight for health reasons and I want to look nice, too. When anybody undertakes an exercise program, physique transformation challenge, you do it for yourself and not anyone else. Your doctor may have been concerned about things such heart disease and diabetes, but doctors base their recommendations on outdated body charts and recommendations for right weight. Do it for yourself
I really appreciate both "Zarathustra" and "Johnny L. Hopkins" on both of you guys advise. It's not that I'm trying to base my looks like others but to obtain a body that I know I can have if I just put the time and afford into it. Ture I laugh at my doctor for saying that I'm overweight, but as I get older (i'm now 41) I do see the pounds starting to sneak up on me. I don't know, call it vanity but I do look as if I'm still in my late 20's or early 30's but with the weight building up, I'm now feeling tired and the clothes feel tight. I have three sons ages from 25-17 and they're in great shape. This is something that I've been wanting to do and have for sometime now. Just staying motivated is what I finding hard to do.
You're beautifull!
Permalink Reply by john reddick on January 12, 2012 at 3:48pm Brutha i get the same message form my doctor each time i visit him. I am skinny, 6'1, 215 lbs, and is obese by the new Body Mass Index Table. My doc wants me to get down to 190 lbs. He tells me since i was skinny all my life i must maintain that weight as i age. If, i do not i will have more health problrms doen the road. Most health professionals will tell you that the majority of blacks are obese. Health risks from overweight are: type-2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke, metabolic syndrome, certian types of cancer, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, gallbladder disease, fatty lever, and don't forget about those already programed in your DNA from parents that goes back for generations that yo do not know about. Most blacks suffers with high-blood pressue, sugar as we call it (diabetes), gland problem that causes us to gain or loss weight. God hel us if you have a durg users, heavy drinker in the family. My grandfather was a drunk as i have to deal with his stomach problems now. That DNA was passed on tome. Brutha you have to decided to take care of yourself. At least attempt or try to loose the weight.
Permalink Reply by zarathustra on January 13, 2012 at 10:57pm I am sorry if my advice here has upset some people but we are all subject to heart disease / diabetes cancer and the like and we are subject to being/being called obese.
A healthy diet and some exercise. is what was recommended for me but I have a problem with diary products and kidney stones.
I still wish u all the best and I think u arwe on the right track.
Sincerely
John

Permalink Reply by sotrue on January 16, 2012 at 12:13pm I am in no way a fitness instructor, but I do suggest taking little steps and not get caught up into looking like the guys on this site. You could spend the rest of your life trying to get like some of these guys and due to genetics it still may not happen. With the internet there is PLENTY of information, cell phone apps, books, magazines, etc about loosing weight. Some good information and some bad, but once u start reading enough you'll realize they all start saying about the same thing. Eat a good diet (watching the calories), lift weights and do some cardio. Make small goals and actually celebrate yourself when you reach those goals.
You're a nice looking guy by the way.
You're 41 and you have a son of 25? Huh?

Yes I am 41 and I do have a son that is 25, and one that is 20 turning 21 later this year and the "baby" is 17. What's so hard to understant about that? All three of my boys have the same mother also.
Permalink Reply by john reddick on January 23, 2012 at 5:07pm I want to challenge you to lose the weight so you will live a long life and be there for your sons in the future. There is nothing hard to understand. You have health problems that should make you want to stay in shape. I know as an x retired ssgt from the USA maintaining weight is a big prblm. My dc's at VA also want me to lose weight. I see myself skinny at 215lbs but i have averaged around 200lbs all my life. I will be praying for God to help you, Johnny H., and all other who are trying to lose weight.

Just the fact that everyone here loves muscles, or reading the discussion about grinding or seeing the pics put up by abpuncher tells me that many guys here have fetishes. My fetish is feet, I love manly brothas with nice feet. The pics that grab me the most are the ones with the muscular brothas who are barefooted. I find also that muscles and muscle play(erotic wrestling, ab punching and muscle worship) are major turn ons. So gentlemen, what are you fetishes?

I know this site is about "bigblkmuscles" and everything, but is there such a thing as TOO big.? Like for example, I feel like bodybuilder type men are nice to look at. However, some of them are WAY too big for my tastes and I know their muscles would be all hard and whatnot. What's your take on this.?Continue

I have been an avid gym bunny for many years. And, I have managed to maintain a good physique. But,as a man in my mid 40's now I am finding it more difficult to increase my muscle mass. Has anyone else experienced this? I have even heard that men in their 50's stop acquiring muslce altogether. Is this true?

i want to build muscle mass in my upper inner thighs. Here's why. The bigger the upper inner thighs, the more the family jewels get pushed up and out in front because there's no room for them to dangle between legs bulked up in this area. Looking at an anatomy chart, i think the strategic muscle that would need development and mass is called the gracilis. Any suggestions on how to build great upper inner thighs in order to present what's between them?Continue

What's up fella's. I Just wanted to get a conversation started about the 2009 Mr. Olympia. Do anyone have any plans to go out to Las Vegas for the event? I am in the process of trying to get a group of at least 8 people to go. I know the economy is bad and this trip might not be in your budget. But with 8 of us meeting up out there, we could all split cost on the hotel rooms and rental car. If anybody in the DC/MD/VA area has serious thoughts about going, let me know so we can discuss it further. This does not rule out anybody else in other cities who might be going but looking for someone to help split cost. If you have not been to a MR. O event, let me tell you it is an incredible weekend. So anyone want to predict who will win the MR. O. My prediction is Dexter Jackson will retain his crown for at least one more year. IIGHT fellas holla at me, I need some traveling buddies for the MR. O last weekend in September. Google 2009 Mr Olympia Weekend........... for details of events and times
